For the love of book covers

I'm so thrilled to be getting into the world of "artist books" this year at VSW and surrounding communities. If you don't know what artist books are, check out some of my favorite independent publishing organizations like J&L Books, Ugly Duckling Presse, and The Ice Plant

I adore the following book covers, for their lovely aesthetic that inspires me to keep making books!

This cover by Jason Fulford for Ben Doller's book Faq: (The New Series)  which is now on my post-Christmas wish list!

This cover by Pat O'Neill is absolutely stunning, Another Kind of Record, is a selection of the dozens of the collage-drawings, found texts and digital composite prints he has gathered and altered over the last several years.

For the love of being back in action!

As I signed into to blogger and realized I've acquired 8 new "followers" since my last post, I felt a tinge of blog-slacker-guilt :/ Not to worry friends, I am back in action after grad school boot-camp! I have a month off to sleep, play, think, read, and learn to knit!

Christmas is almost here and I'm not sure what it is about this year but I haven't really bought into the material craze of the season, buying only a few materials to make handmade gifts (that will be finished after Christmas because I think it's more fun to spread out gift-receiving a bit)

Also- Meet "Nikki-Pickles" she says Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
