For the love of sister adventures*

You've all heard about my fabulously fun road trip to Philly a few weekends ago....but here are some more treasures from the journey :)

Top 5 Reasons {we make good sisters }

1. We both put effort into the little things in life, like using vintage treasures from grandparents house to decorate our living spaces <3>

2. We can both appreciate beautiful things, and share excitement in each others inspirations

3. We love ridding trains and people watching and chatting about life's perplexing questions

4. We may not see each other often but we both realize it's important to pick up the phone and keep in touch!

5. We love cities and adventures and can just find interesting things to do no matter where we are. There's no doubt we'll {laugh . talk . learn something new . enjoy life} every time we get together <3

Just a quick note about how how I vow to kick this bad habit of pushing my work as an artist to the back burner of daily life!

Here's the plan:

1. Continue increase the amount of visual inspiration in my virtual wanderings

(ie: less facebook, more artist blogs, design sites)

2. Set concrete goals and narrow down next years prospects of school/business and turn them into realistic and feasible possibilities

(still working out these details...shoot me a note with any helpful hints!)

3. Sign up for a letterpress class at Genesee Arts and get involved in the local art community

3. Start making ART AGIAN!

(ie: books, prints, collages...)

The past two weeks have been filled with an abundance of blissful holiday activities~

1. Road trip to Philly

(adventures around the city: cute photos & fun times)

2. Hosting our first annual Christmas house party on 71 Alliance

(over 40 people showed up!)

3. Attending my first ever "company Christmas party" at the Plaza hotel

(danced the night away)

For the love of road trips*

Well I'm off to visit the wonderful philadelphia area this weekend and looking forward to not only a change of scenery but to some sure-to-be stellar adventures with m friend Kelly Ann* in our fav-o city of 'sisterly.love'

...its a long drive, but well worth it because....

a.

{philladelphia itself is lovely and exciting, not to mention that Kell is my absolute favorite person to spend time adventuring around cities with, we will be going downtown on monday for some festive fun}

b.

Kell's 'philly fam' aka: people she's connected to significantly are really great, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone I've met there, and especially to meeting her fab bf for the first time and giving him the sister test!

c.

We take awesome pictures wherever we go, and anytime we spend together is treasured because we can appreciate our friendship for what it is and connect in awesome ways when we get to have face-to-face conversations and do things that are equally thrilling for both of us!!
